The job Finished and painted. I was delighted with the results
Last summer we were blessed to receive a call from Dawnus construction. They were undertaking the complete renovation and upgrade of the St Agnes village hall on the isles of Scilly . They had had problems with the plaster and they wanted it sorting out asap. We were delighted to go over and re plaster the inside of the old church hall. Along with a few little extras . We formed a surround an a back door . Repaired some failed reveal points on the windows.
St Agnes is a wonderful place and we thoroughly enjoyed the job . Here are some pics of the project

- Repairing the reveals
- This was originally a badly knocked through opening. I’m glad the committee trusted me to free from this surround.
- I hand formed this surround on the back of the building.
- We Had to work with the curves and shake of the building. Maintaing all the charecture of this lovely space
- We applied two coats of lime plaster with a layer of nylon mesh between. This is to give the plaster added strength and durability . And to prevent cracking as the building drys out.
- We hand formed the corners. This gave it a more traditional feel.
- View from the Island but the Turks Head. We enjoyed a few drinks here after a dusty day on site. The food is great too.
- Flying in. Probably the best place i have worked to date
